Art is a very special way of raising self-esteem, providing much joy.

In Brazil, the art of patchwork first developed around 1980, but since ancient times between the ages VI and IX, we find stories about this art. Later it was widespread throughout Europe and the United States.

Patchwork is means "art of joining pieces". It is part of popular culture in the United States, where happens the biggest festival in the world of patchwork.

Sueli Sanchez, artist and educator, has devoted all available time to handcrafts and oil painting. About 12 years ago, the passion for patchwork began. "I can say that in Patchwork I found my true artistic vocation."

Sueli is responsible for the Arts Management in ALMA. She gives patchwork classes.
